IDC was established in 1975 to produce long steel products for domestic and international markets. Modern bar rolling mill and steel melt shop had been commissioned in of 1983 and 1987 respectively. Production is carried out at Foca plant (35800 Aliağa/İzmir) that covers 500,000 m² areas located in Aliağa heavy industrial zone. After the realization of the new investments and revamping projects to improve quality, productivity and technology in 2006 and 2007, the annual production capacities of steel melt shop and bar rolling mill have been increased to 1.500.000 ton/year billet and 1.500.000 ton/year rebar respectively. Furthermore, a new 400.000 ton/year capacity profile/section mill fully commenced production in 2013. IDC, which is one of the leading steel producers of Turkey, has taken its place among Turkey’s giant industrial enterprises, with its robust financial structure, corporate culture, qualified labor force and its innovative production facilities. We are also engaged in large investments in power plant and maritime business, owning three ships totally 153.000 DWT and operating a port through our subsidiary.
